What is chlorination and system disinfection?

Chlorination and system disinfection is the controlled treatment of a water system to eliminate bacteria and other microbiological contamination. It is used to commission new or altered systems, to remediate systems after a problem, and as a planned control measure, restoring water to a safe and hygienic condition in line with BS 8558 and wider guidance.

Our teams carry out disinfection using appropriate methods and dosing, following recognised procedures and safe systems of work. Every disinfection is documented with certification confirming the process, contact times and post-disinfection sampling, giving you clear evidence that the system has been returned to a compliant standard.
