Complii, one of the UK's leading providers of building safety and regulatory compliance services, announced the acquisition of The General Lift Company, a specialist lift services business operating across London and the South East.

Established in 1986 and based in Swanley, Kent, The General Lift Company is a long-established specialist lift and mobility services business, serving commercial and public-sector clients across London and the South East. Its services span planned maintenance, reactive repairs, refurbishment, installation and 24/7 emergency call-out support.

The business has built its reputation on the strength of its people, with deep of technical capability and long-standing customer relationships that have made The General Lift Company a trusted name across the region.

The acquisition strengthens Complii's integrated Lifts and Escalators division, expanding its presence across London and the South East

Existing operational and technical leadership will remain in place to support continuity, with Derek Powis, Managing Director, remaining actively involved in the business going forward.
